PHYSICAL EDITING
This installation explores how space, vision, and framing influence power dynamics, particularly through the lens of the male gaze.
Using found footage from popular films, the work examines how women are often framed—both literally and symbolically—within visual culture. By playing with the scale and height of multiple screens, the installation invites the viewer to become both observer and observed. This shifting perspective highlights how the act of looking can carry authority, desire, or alienation.
The spatial setup encourages a critical awareness of how framing controls perception—what is shown, what is hidden, and who holds the power to decide. The work becomes an open-ended reflection on visibility, agency, and the politics of representation.
