This project draws inspiration from the rich history and culture of Les Arcs, where design has been integral to the station's development since its inception. Charlotte Perriand’s 20-year involvement established design as a core element of the destination’s identity.
Today, Les Arcs faces critical economic, social, and environmental challenges, prompting a shift toward a more resilient, sustainable, and diverse mountain tourism model. Beyond skiing, Les Arcs is reimagined as a restorative and natural space, fostering reconnection with the environment.
In collaboration with Filature Arpin, a historic local textile mill, and guided by renowned designer Matali Crasset, the workshop will transform natural wool from alpine sheep into a unique, mobile interior space. This installation will complement the mountain experience and will debut at Les Arcs Archi’ Design 2024 (April 3–5).
Rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation, this initiative embodies a new vision for design’s role in shaping the future of mountain living.
